About Chuck Nation...
Chuck Nation, from Gainesville, GA, is a member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame and a 2016 Georgia Music Awards Nominee. He made his Carnegie Hall debut performance in New York City in 2015, and performed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN in April 2016. Chuck has performed across the U.S. and in 17 countries. He made his most recent international tour in 2014 covering 16 cities in Ireland. In addition to his singing and songwriting skills, Chuck is equally skilled at playing fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and guitar. He is a two-time Georgia State Fiddle Champion, Georgia State Mandolin Champion, and a Louisiana State Fiddle Champion.
Chuck has performed at the Grand Old Opry, Carnegie Hall, New Orleans World's Fair, Savannah Music Festival, Smoke On The Mountain, Always Patsy Cline, and The High Lonesome Mass. He has opened shows for a diverse list of folks ranging from Ernest Tubb to Mother Maybelle Carter, Mac Davis, John Hartford, Charley Pride, John Anderson, Del McCoury, and many more.
Chuck has shared the stage and played with Bluegrass luminaries Bill Monroe, Mac Wiseman, Sam Bush, Vassar Clements, and many others. He was a member of the historic band from Louisville, Kentucky--The Bluegrass Alliance (whose alumni includes Vince Gill, Sam Bush, & Tony Rice)--which paved the way for the modern "Newgrass" music style.
Besides being an in-demand studio and stage musician with other artists, Chuck leads The Chuck Nation Band http://www.chucknationband.com He has recorded 2 solo projects: Fiddle Favorites and One Man Band, and 3 band projects: Beneath The Tennessee Moon, On A High High Mountain, and Thinking About Home.
Chuck has been the
pastor of First Baptist Church, Flowery Branch, GA since 1998. He has a Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and has served as pastor of churches in
Louisiana, Tennessee, and Ohio. He sings
and plays at his own church and often travels to various places with fiddle,
guitar, and Bible in hand, to proclaim the gospel in word and song.
